Sara bolts upright in bed, clutching her sore throat while bats flutter outside under the full moon. Her mind replays the strict warnings about the forbidden tower. She grabs a flashlight, determined to uncover what Lucien and Bianca are hiding. The dark corridors terrify her. A scurrying rat and a creepy portrait send her sprawling across the floor. Sara pulls herself up and reaches out to touch the padlocked door. Suddenly, a hand with long red nails clamps onto her shoulder from behind.
