Episode: 2
Ella looks through the cracked door of the VIP lounge as Alex holds Sabrina. Nate questions Alex about his poor treatment of Ella, but Alex claims he only stays out of duty. Ella steps inside and fakes amnesia, claiming she solely remembers her name, Alex, and their wedding. Tyler panics and refuses to impersonate Alex again. In response, Alex grabs Nate from the sofa and presents him as Ella's boyfriend.
Ella peers through the door crack while Alex embraces Sabrina. Nate confronts Alex for mistreating Ella after years together. Alex responds coldly that his love for Ella is gone, claiming he now stays with her purely out of obligation.
Ella steps into the lounge. Tyler walks over to greet her, but she shrinks away from his touch. She acts like her amnesia returned, telling everyone she only knows her identity, her fiancé Alex, and their scheduled Valentine's Day wedding.
Tyler pulls Alex aside in a panic. He whispers that he will not pretend to be Alex again because Ella is far too controlling. Tyler insists that Alex find someone else among their group to step in this time.
Alex rises from his seat to solve the problem. He singles out Nate Brooks on the couch, grabs him, and shoves him right in front of Ella. Alex lies straight to her face, claiming Nate is her real boyfriend.
“I don't love Ella anymore. I only feel a sense of duty.”
“I don't remember anything. I only know my name is Ella Thompson. I have a boyfriend Alex. We grew up together. Our wedding is on Valentine's Day.”
“Alex, get someone else to do this. Ella is great, but she's way too controlling. I can't take it anymore.”
“He's your boyfriend.”
Alex drags Nate Brooks off the couch and positions him directly in front of Ella, telling her that Nate is her actual partner. The episode cuts off right as Nate stands trapped in Alex's deception. How will Nate react to being forced into this lie, and will Ella pretend to believe him?
