Prince Draven puts on his robe and touches Lora's waist, but she pulls away in fear. Angered, Draven shifts his hand into a flaming claw, burns a painting to ashes, and threatens to replace her. Lora recalls the Elven Queen attacking her mother with magic to force this trade. To save her mother, Lora submits. Draven carries her to a chained pool, drops her in, strips, and tells her to prepare.
Prince Draven ties his robe and steps toward Lora. He reaches out and touches her waist and stomach. Terrified, Lora pulls back immediately and tells him no.
Prince Draven traps Lora and asks if she refuses to bear his child. He turns his hand into a flaming dragon claw, burns a painting to ashes, and threatens to tear her apart and summon the real princess.
Lora remembers the palace courtyard where the Elven Queen blasted her mother with magic. Her stepmother demanded that Lora marry the Dragon King or watch her mother die on the spot.
Lora knows she cannot be returned home if she wants her mother alive. She stays quiet and yields as Draven orders her to willingly bear his child. His claw turns back into flesh.
Draven carries Lora to a candlelit chamber encircled by chains and tosses her into a huge steaming bath. After she surfaces wet, Draven wades in, takes off his robe, and tells her to clean up and get ready.
“You don't want to bear my child?”
“If you refuse, I'll tear you apart and have them send over a real princess.”
“Marry the Dragon King or I'll kill your mother right now. Choose.”
“Get cleaned up and get prepared for me.”
Draven strips off his robe and wades into the steaming bath with Lora, demanding that she wash and prepare herself for him. Lora sits soaked in the water, trapped in the chained chamber. Will she go through with his command, or will her fear push her to find a way out?
