Chloe spots Evelyn in the hotel corridor and runs straight over with a bright embrace. She invites her mother on an afternoon shopping trip to Central Mall to pick out fresh clothes. As Chloe hugs Evelyn, Samuel Black lets go of the fabric of Evelyn's garment. Near the lobby exit, Samuel asks about their plans and volunteers to drive them. Evelyn firmly declines his offer right on the spot.
Chloe rushes down the hallway and greets Evelyn with a hug. She happily suggests heading over to Central Mall together to buy several new outfits for Evelyn. During their warm embrace, Samuel Black silently loosens his grip on Evelyn's clothes.
Samuel Black moves forward in the hallway near the lobby entrance. He overhears their shopping plan and asks if they need transport to Central Mall. He claims to have business nearby and offers to drive them, but Evelyn instantly refuses.
“Mom, there you are.”
“So how about we hit the mall together? Oh, maybe pick out a couple new outfits for you?”
“If it's on the way, I could give you both a ride.”
“That's very kind, but no thank you, Mister Black.”
The episode concludes right after Evelyn formally rebuffs Samuel Black's offer to drive them to Central Mall. She establishes a strict boundary by using his last name and stepping away with her daughter. Will Samuel accept Evelyn's cold rejection and back off, or will he continue trying to insert himself into her and Chloe's lives?
