The butler speaks with Sophia Winters in the grand foyer. He reveals Charles Landon will conduct her interview in person later that night. Following his suggestion, Sophia walks through the estate and observes the floor plan. The third level remains Charles's forbidden area. She settles into her second-floor room next to Leo. There, she sits on her bed crying until noise from below catches her attention at eight o'clock.
The butler talks to Sophia Winters inside the grand foyer. He announces that Charles Landon plans to interview her later that evening. The butler suggests that she use the spare time to look around the Landon estate.
Sophia Winters walks along the different hallways while her narration outlines the building layout. She notes where the rooms are situated. During the walk, she learns the third floor serves as Charles Landon's private area where others cannot enter.
Sophia enters her lavish second-floor bedroom situated right beside Leo's room. She sits on the bed and cries while thinking about going from an abandoned bride to living here. At eight o'clock, she hears footsteps moving across the floor downstairs.
“Mr. Landon will be back tonight and will interview you himself. In the meantime, you can get familiar with the place.”
“Life sure had a twisted sense of humor.”
“At eight o'clock that night, I heard movement downstairs.”
At eight o'clock in the evening, Sophia sits in her room and hears movement from the lower floor. The sounds signal that Mr. Landon has arrived at the manor. Sophia must now head downstairs to face him directly. Will Charles Landon accept her as Leo's nanny after hearing what she has to say?
