Chloe defends Amber and ridicules Hayes as an embarrassing trophy wife. When Richard tells Hayes to grow up, Hayes asks for his half of dinner costs. Richard refuses, claiming her funds are his. Hayes ends dinner by flipping the entire table onto the floor.

Episode 3 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Filming the New Rules

    Hayes holds up her phone to record Richard across the dining table. Richard looks straight ahead and formally announces his new policy. He states that from this moment onward, every shared bill will be divided fifty-fifty between them.

  2. 00:31: Chloe Sides with Amber

    Amber speaks up to praise the idea of going Dutch. Hayes tells Richard's secretary to stay in her lane. Chloe steps in to protect Amber, telling the table it is embarrassing to have a mother who is just a trophy wife.

  3. 00:51: A Lecture at the Table

    Richard slams his hand down onto the dining table. He reprimands Hayes, telling her she needs to grow up and become independent for their daughter. While he scolds his wife, Amber reaches over and places her hand on top of his.

  4. 01:01: Demanding Split Payment

    Hayes listens to her family's comments and demands Richard pay his share for the meal she bought. Richard and Chloe mock her request. Richard insists that any money she possesses came directly out of his own pockets.

  5. 01:24: The Table Flips

    Richard flatly refuses to reimburse Hayes for his meal. Hayes announces that dinner is finished. She grabs the large dining table and flips it over completely, sending the food, wine, and tableware crashing straight to the floor.
