Watching Nana's phone, Sloane sees Ethan ask the family group chat to stall her. Diana devises a plan to send Sloane out of town for a pumpkin pie. Sloane offers to pay a courier instead, prompting an angry voice message from Diana.
Sloane calls Ethan from the bathroom. Ethan wears a groom's white suit and a boutonniere, claiming he is covering a last-minute shoot. Madison speaks in the background. When Sloane offers to visit, Blake Morrison interrupts and hangs up the call.
Nana's phone alerts Sloane to new messages in the family group chat. Ethan sends an urgent voice note asking everyone to delay Sloane. Diana suggests sending Sloane out of town to retrieve a squashed pumpkin pie, a trip that takes six hours.
Sloane remembers forcing down pumpkin pie despite her severe childhood egg allergy just to please Diana. Back in the present, Sloane messages Diana that she will hire a courier. Diana sends an angry voice note reprimanding Sloane for wasting money.
“I picked up a last-minute wedding shoot. I'm exhausted.”
“We've got a problem. Sloane just said she's coming to find me. Somebody figure out how to stall her.”
“Why get someone else to pick it up? Don't you have legs? Do you have to waste money on everything?”
