Mia waits at the airport arrivals gate with a bouquet for Ryan. She lost 120 pounds during the past year while he was away. When Ryan appears, he steps past her and passionately kisses Chloe. Mia stands close by and listens as Ryan talks with Chloe. He admits he passed off his best friend's alternate account to text Mia all year. Mia looks down at her buzzing phone in shock.
Mia reveals that she shed 120 pounds over twelve months for Ryan. Her excitement vanishes at the airport terminal when she watches him kiss another woman. She discovers that a friend handled all of Ryan's messages to her.
Mia stands near the gate holding a bouquet. She thinks about growing up beside Ryan and how he kept their friendship hidden during school. She also remembers her intense year spent running and strictly restricting her meals.
Ryan walks into the terminal and kisses Chloe. Mia overhears their conversation from a few feet away. Ryan calls Mia annoying and explains that he handed off his best friend's alternate account so someone else would text her.
“Where's that fat neighbor of yours? Didn't she come pick you up?”
“Before I left, I gave her my best friend's alt account and told her it was my new number. He's been replying to her for me this whole year.”
“If our parents didn't know each other, I would have cut her off a long time ago.”
Ryan and Chloe share a close hug just steps away from where Mia is standing. Mia's phone suddenly vibrates in her hand with affectionate texts from the alternate account. Mia is left wondering who has really been texting her daily and calling her baby for the past entire year.
