Arthur Sterling holds Evelyn captive on a rooftop after his brother dies from a delayed heart transplant. Evelyn's husband Philip and her friend Veronica frame her with false testimony. Arthur shoots Evelyn, and his bodyguards toss her over the ledge. As she plummets, Evelyn swears retribution. She instantly opens her eyes seated on flight 3101 before takeoff. When Veronica tells her to sign the manifest, Evelyn strikes her across the face.

Episode 1 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Confrontation on the Skyscraper Rooftop

    Arthur Sterling blames Evelyn for his brother's death after a donor heart is stranded. Philip and Veronica tell Arthur that Evelyn intentionally departed without Dr. Evans. Arthur raises a handgun and fires directly into Evelyn multiple times.

  2. 01:22: Thrown from the Building Ledge

    Arthur commands his bodyguards to fling Evelyn off the skyscraper roof. Evelyn falls toward the concrete pavement below. During her plunge, she makes a bitter promise to destroy both Philip and Veronica if she receives a second chance at life.

  3. 01:42: Reawakening on Flight 3101

    Evelyn wakes up alive on London-bound flight 3101 before departure occurs. She quickly understands she has returned to the past. Veronica approaches her holding the passenger manifest and claims that every first-class traveler has already boarded the aircraft.

  4. 02:11: A Strike Across the Face

    Evelyn realizes Veronica is lying about the passengers to trap her again. She refuses to sign the paperwork. Evelyn gets out of her seat, confronts Veronica in the aisle, and hits her with an open-handed slap across the face.
