Episode 2 recap: The Luna's Choice

Alpha Alaric allows Serena to enter the trial. The Luna mark appears on her chest, which confirms her status before the pack. Adrian steps forward with an arrogant smirk because he expects her selection. Serena shocks the gathering by naming Rowan Blackwood instead. Flashbacks reveal that Rowan once stood from his wheelchair to shield Serena from abuse, even while poisoned by wolfsbane. Alaric warns her that Rowan cannot lead a normal life. Serena refuses to reconsider her choice. Adrian flares his golden wolf aura in fury, but Serena walks away determined to wake Rowan.
