Avery walks into her dorm room and finds it trashed by Bailey's group. She looks at her chopped hair in the mirror and packs her bags. Caleb calls her to brush off the stage humiliation as a simple prank, so she hangs up. Avery takes her luggage to Mr. Henderson and rejects his offer of a public apology. She signs her withdrawal forms and heads to the campus gate, where she tells Caleb she has quit school.
Avery returns to her dorm and sees her belongings scattered across the floor by Bailey's group. She stares at her uneven hair in the mirror and packs her clothes. Caleb calls to ask where she is, but she hangs up on him.
Avery carries her packed luggage directly into Mr. Henderson's office and asks to withdraw from the university. Mr. Henderson offers to make the students apologize publicly for the event. Avery declines the offer and signs the withdrawal documents at his desk.
Avery pulls her suitcase toward the main campus exit. Caleb rushes over to intercept her and asks if she is still bothered by a prank. Avery stops and tells him plainly that she has withdrawn, leaving Caleb frozen in place.
“Avery, where are you? It was just a prank. Aren't you being a little sensitive?”
“About last night—we can make them apologize. Publicly.”
“That won't be necessary. This is my decision.”
“I withdrew.”
Avery stands at the campus gate with her luggage and tells Caleb she has already withdrawn from the university. Caleb stares at her in shock, unable to treat the situation like a harmless joke anymore. How will Caleb react now that Avery has walked away from the school and their friendship?
