Episode: 2
Inside the shower, Adrian pulls Luciana close, but she shoves him back. Adrian explains he was drugged and an arriving doctor will take too long. He closes the door and asks her to name a price. Luciana flashes back to Tía Rosa ordering her and sick Mateo out. Desperate for medical funds, Luciana stays the night with Adrian. The next morning, she sees the clock reads ten and panics.
Under running shower water, Adrian kisses Luciana. She pushes him away and tells him to remain clear-headed. Adrian explains someone drugged him and medical help cannot arrive fast enough. He closes the bathroom door and offers to pay whatever sum she requests.
In a flashback, Tía Rosa confronts Luciana in their cramped living space. Rosa demands immediate cash for rent and medical bills. She warns that sick little Mateo must surrender their bedroom and sleep directly on the bare floor.
Luciana realizes the money will cover Mateo's medical operation. Adrian shuts off the running water and tells her she can leave right now. Luciana refuses to go. She stays beside him in the shower, and they embrace for the night.
Luciana opens her eyes in the morning next to Adrian. She checks her phone and sees it is already ten o'clock. Fearing she will keep Doña Elena waiting, she quickly pulls on her maid uniform and rushes out the door.
“Help me. Name your price.”
“With the money he's offering, I'll finally be able to pay for Mateo's surgery.”
“Last chance. Walk away now and I won't stop you.”
“Oh no. Doña Elena is waiting. I'm late.”
Luciana leaves Adrian sleeping alone and sneaks out of the room in her uniform. She is already very late for work, and Doña Elena expects her service. Will Luciana reach the mansion before anyone spots her absence, or will Adrian wake up and discover she ran off without collecting her promised payment?
