Aria Vale trains in a forest clearing by dodging stones thrown by the scarred warrior. Bleeding from the forehead, she refuses to back down. The warrior reminds her of Lucian Gray's rejection as a black wolf attacks. Aria fights with a short blade, but the beast pins her against a tree and bites her shoulder. A fiery sigil erupts across her back, blasting the creature away into the mist.
Aria Vale trains outside a rustic forest settlement. The scarred warrior throws rocks at her, striking her head. Blood drips from her brow, but Aria pulls herself up, refuses to yield, and demands another round against her mentor.
The mentor reminds Aria that Alpha Lucian Gray discarded her. Suddenly, the black wolf leaps forward. Aria pulls out a short blade to defend herself, but the creature slams her hard into a tree trunk, making her spit blood.
Aria steps forward, but the wolf clamps its jaws onto her shoulder. A blazing sigil suddenly ignites on her back. The resulting shockwave blasts the beast backward across the dirt. Bewildered, the creature questions her identity before retreating into the mist.
“I'm not the prey.”
“Alpha threw you away.”
“Get off!”
“What are you?”
The black wolf flees into the foggy woodland after witnessing the burning energy burst from Aria's skin. Aria remains in the clearing with her injuries and this unexplainable power. Who placed that burning crest on her back, and what will the scarred warrior do now that he has seen it unleash?
