Episode 5 recap: A New Record
Eva hands Blair the keys to her untuned pink sports car and warns her about poor acceleration. Blair takes the car out anyway. She handles every tight turn with sharp control. She crosses the line, glances at the timing board, calls the run boring, and walks away. The pit mechanics stare at the monitor in shock. Eva's car just clocked a time of 07:58.78, beating Derek's record. Meanwhile, syndicate leaders meet in an executive room. Their strategist explains that without Derek on the track, their chance of survival drops down to thirty percent.
