Isolda faces harsh questioning from her parents about the new phone. Her mother demands she give it to Adela for her upcoming birthday. Isolda refuses to surrender the device, so her father strikes her across the cheek. In her bedroom, Isolda cries while reading notifications from Diego and Adela. Her parents push inside to seize the phone. Isolda defends herself by declaring that her husband bought it for her that day.
In the living room, Isolda's parents demand to know where she found the phone. Her mother plans to hand the device to Adela. Isolda refuses to part with it. Her father yells at her and strikes her across the face.
Isolda retreats to her bed in tears. She pulls out the phone to look at text messages sent by Adela. Diego's alerts also pop up on her screen while she lies alone in the dark bedroom, weeping over the betrayal.

“Your sister said last time she liked this model. And her birthday is around the corner. Consider it a gift from you.”
“My husband bought it for me. He bought it for me today!”
