Episode: 1
Farren Grant kisses his mistress Abigale Evans in bed while claiming on a phone call that he is watching a race. In a memory, race car driver Mads Valdemar corners Ligeia in a car for a reward. Later, Farren brings Abigale to Ligeia's thirty-second birthday celebration. Abigale ruins the party setup, and Farren insults his wife before leaving. Ligeia watches them kiss outside, then texts Mads that she misses him.
Farren Grant stays in bed with Abigale Evans, kissing her between words. He speaks on the phone and tells a lie about watching a race instead of returning home to his wife.
A quick flashback shifts inside a car right after a big victory on the track. Champion race car driver Mads Valdemar pins Ligeia firmly against the passenger seat and demands that she hand over his reward.
Guests gather for Ligeia's thirty-second birthday party in the banquet hall. Farren Grant walks inside with Abigale Evans. Abigale ruins the birthday cake by sticking her finger into it, then topples the champagne tower onto the floor.
Ligeia confronts Farren Grant and tells him to follow their agreement. Farren humiliates her directly in front of the attendees. He shoves a check into Ligeia's hands and turns around to walk away with Abigale.
Ligeia stands inside the hall and watches Farren Grant kiss Abigale in the garden. She takes out her mobile phone and messages Mads Valdemar to tell him she misses him. In a simulator room, Mads gets the message.
“What makes you think you have the right to talk to me about dignity?”
“Maybe you should learn how to please me. Then you might be able to sell yourself for a better price.”
“I'm coming to see you.”
Ligeia watches her husband embrace Abigale outside, then sends a message to Mads admitting that she misses him. Dressed in his racing gear, Mads reads her words and promises he is coming directly to her. Will Farren realize his wife is turning to the very racing champion his mistress admires?
