I just finished watching Broke off with the Nether King, the Saintess Regrets Madly online here on Stillpointe, and the betrayal hits immediately. Hades, the God of the Underworld, spent five centuries waiting for his fallen queen to return. He found her newborn human form in a peasant home, spent underworld fortunes on her training, and fought demons outside the Iron Fortress until his divine strength ran out. He lived as an ordinary knight just to stand by Aurora on her eighteenth birthday.
Instead of taking his hand, Aurora tosses him aside in front of the entire court. She chooses the ruler of the realm, King Draven, and scoffs at the knight who gave up his throne for her. While she treats Hades like dirt, her twin sister Celia remembers the truth and stands up for him. That simple choice sets off a chain reaction across the entire realm.
Without Hades holding up the glowing dome over the city, the demon forces under Lucifer begin to advance. Aurora thinks her own light magic keeps everyone safe, yet every choice she makes tears away another layer of protection. If you want to follow along with the drama, this watch guide breaks down each moment, from broken marriage vows to demon raids at the city gates. EP 1: The Betrayal at Court
Five hundred years after his queen dies in battle, Hades tracks her reincarnated soul to a human baby named Aurora. He exhausts his underworld riches to elevate her as Saintess of the Light Temple. He battles a demon horde for five years, burning through his remaining divine power to cast a permanent dome over the Iron Fortress. Left as an ordinary knight, Hades attends Aurora's eighteenth birthday to wed her. Aurora turns away from his extended hand and chooses the King instead.
EP 2: A Coin and a Warning
Aurora tosses a single gold coin to Hades as compensation. Hades places the coin back into her hand and reminds her that his gifts over eighteen years far surpass it. The courtiers sneer at him. Outside the city, a winged demon tests the glowing dome, noting that the barrier holds against Lucifer but is beginning to weaken. Hades warns the throne room that Aurora is the Underworld Queen. Her mortal flesh will perish if she does not return with him.
EP 3: The Barrier Falls
The King claims he served as Hades' past-life Night Commander and swings a glowing mace at him. Hades deflects the blow with a barrier, sending the monarch crashing across the floor. Aurora scolds Hades and orders guards to cast him out. Hades summons his glowing trident and dissolves the barrier shielding the Iron Fortress. The ground shakes across the city. On the borders, Lucifer watches the dome fade and orders his demon army to wait for his command to invade.
EP 4: An Arrow to the Heart
Aurora conjures an illusion of peace to mock Hades' warnings, then forms a light sword to execute him. Outside the ramparts, Celia rushes in on horseback to defend Hades. Aurora brands her twin sister a traitor and orders archers to fire. An arrow pierces Celia's chest. The royal physician declares her condition fatal. Hades steps forward with crimson magical energy and heals the mortal wound instantly. Aurora watches from the battlements, stunned by the sudden display of power.
EP 5: Flight Through Red Smoke
The King gives credit to the royal doctor for Celia's recovery. Aurora demands the guards kill Hades on the spot and threatens to punish Celia herself. Celia begs Hades for rescue. He gathers her into his arms and vanishes into red smoke. At a quiet cottage, Celia reveals she watched Hades fight off demons in secret for years. Near the fortress, Lilith reports the exile to the Demon King, who orders a vanguard to test whether Hades will step in.
EP 6: Torn Contracts and Restored Power
Aurora admires a lavish wedding gown and takes out her red marriage contract. Hades had placed a seal on the parchment to protect her human frame from divine energy. Aurora laughs off the warning and tears the contract in two. The red energy flows back into Hades in the wilderness, restoring his godly trident and strength. Demons kneel before him in terror. Human knights try to arrest Hades for treason, so he lets the monsters deal with them while Celia runs to warn the city.
EP 7: The Gates Fall
Draven and Aurora exchange wedding vows on the palace balcony. A wounded soldier reports that the demon army has smashed through the city gates. Celia arrives to beg for an evacuation, but Aurora has her thrown into jail. At the broken gates, Draven cowers behind a tree while Aurora confronts the winged demon commander alone. The monster shatters Aurora's holy shield. Glowing cracks spread down Aurora's arm as her mortal body fractures, right before Hades appears behind her.
