I just finished watching this drama on Stillpointe, and you need to hear about it. The story centers on Evelyn Reed, a talented aerospace engineer, and her husband Julian. For years, the two planned to build their lives in Silicon Valley. Evelyn even gave up a spot at Cambridge and an offer at SpaceX to support him. Then she overhears Julian on the phone with his friend Mark. Julian took a research job at CERN in Geneva to follow another woman named Clara. He expects Evelyn to drop her Silicon Valley CTO offer and follow him to Switzerland. He calls Evelyn a suitable wife, but says he has no resistance against Clara.
Instead of begging him to stay, Evelyn makes her own moves. She accepts the CTO position for the Phoenix Project at Nexagen in Palo Alto. She lets Julian pack his bags for Clara, while she sells their house, clears out their joint accounts, and ships his belongings to Europe. If you want to watch No Longer Waiting for Your Return online, you can follow Evelyn's sharp exit right here on Stillpointe. You get to see every step of her quiet revenge without unnecessary delays.
It feels great to watch a female lead who values her career over a husband who takes her for granted. Julian keeps assuming she will do whatever he wants, while Evelyn is already booking flights to California. EP 1: Secret Plans
Evelyn returns home to her Cambridge apartment and overhears Julian talking to his friend Mark. Julian secretly accepted a position at CERN in Geneva to be with Clara. He withdrew their joint Silicon Valley application and expects Evelyn to drop her own CTO offer to follow him. Julian brags that Evelyn will obey him because she previously gave up SpaceX for his sake. One month later, Evelyn lands at Los Angeles International Airport. Julian calls her to ask if she reached Geneva. Evelyn quietly tells him she arrived a long time ago.
EP 2: The Suitable Wife
Evelyn steps outside Maple Court Apartments and hides behind a brick pillar. Mark questions Julian about his lingering feelings for Clara. Julian admits he has no resistance against Clara. He tells Mark that Evelyn is merely the most suitable wife rather than his true love. Julian lights a cigarette and claims Clara makes him feel like a real man, while Evelyn only focuses on technical research. Evelyn weeps silently and walks away. She remembers their first meeting at a Boston academic forum, where Julian gave an inspiring talk about changing the world.
EP 3: The Phoenix Project
Julian returns home late and speaks gently to Clara on the balcony while Evelyn pretends to sleep. Julian even mumbles Clara's name in his sleep. The next morning, Julian takes his onboarding papers and leaves early. Evelyn heads to Palo Alto. She visits the Nexagen headquarters, where the human resources representative welcomes her as the new CTO for the Phoenix Project. Evelyn remembers her late grandfather, a former chief engineer at Boeing, who advised her never to forget why she started. That night, Julian returns to their home holding a pink floral gift bag.
EP 4: Tossing the Past
Julian hands Evelyn a crystal sculpture of the Matterhorn and mentions her past chance to study at Cambridge. Evelyn recalls how Julian suffered mild appendicitis before her departure. He begged her to stay and care for him, which allowed Clara Thorne to take her spot. Evelyn realizes Julian manipulated her sacrifice back then. She throws their wedding invitations and honeymoon photos into the trash. Julian looks confused by her actions. Evelyn points to a storage box in the corner packed with belongings that Julian shared with Clara.
EP 5: Eyes on California
Evelyn points out Clara's photos, scarf, and letters inside the box. Julian panics, grabs the box, and insists he will return the items to Clara later. He nervously asks Evelyn about her onboarding paperwork. Later, Julian browses Geneva apartment listings and posts them online while they prepare to sell their Massachusetts house. He remembers their old dreams in front of a United States map, but ignores them now. Julian excitedly shows Evelyn a Geneva apartment near Mont Blanc. Evelyn shocks him by stating that California is probably not bad either.
EP 6: Off to Geneva
Julian and Evelyn sit on the couch when Clara calls through video. Clara weeps and claims she fell down the stairs and sprained her foot. Julian panics and books a flight to Europe immediately. He tests Evelyn's reaction, but Evelyn stays calm and tells him to go take care of what he needs to do. Julian praises her for being understanding and races to Logan International Airport. The next day, Evelyn checks social media. She sees a photo of Julian wearing an apron and frying steak for Clara.
EP 7: Cutting All Ties
The picture of Julian cooking reminds Evelyn of a high fever in Boston. Julian refused to cook soup for her back then, claiming he did not know how to cook. Evelyn takes action. She hands over the house keys, sells their car, and closes their joint bank account. She packs Julian's belongings and ships them to Geneva. Julian calls after receiving the package. He asks when Evelyn will arrive and says Clara wants to eat her apple pie. Evelyn says nothing about her flight and prepares to leave for California alone.
