If you are looking for a story that pulls at your heartstrings, you should watch When Mommy Stops Waking Up. I just finished watching it here on Stillpointe, and the story of little Lily and her mother Mia is so sad yet memorable . It starts with three-year-old Lily, who is incredibly mature for her age. She takes care of her term inally ill mother, Mia, by cooking porridge and trying to keep her comfortable in their small, run-down apartment.
The story begins to unfold when we learn about Mia’s past. She has been struggling with late-stage stomach cancer while also dealing with the heartbreak of being forced away from her former lover, Ethan Crane, years ago. Mia is a single mother who sacrificed everything to save her daughter after finding out that Lily had a congenital heart defect as a newborn. Even while facing her own end, Mia's only concern is ensuring Lily is cared for if she can no longer wake up.
She instructs Lily to use her phone to call Ethan if an emergency happens. The drama picks up speed as the reality of Mia’ s condition catches up to her, leading to a series of emotional events where Lily is left alone and searching for her father. You can watch all these events unfold right here on this site. It is a very personal and touching drama that focuses on the deep bond between a mother and her daughter, even when the world is against them.
