Episode: 5
Ethan Crane picks up a phone call from Mia's number and demands to know if she wants money. Instead, young Lily answers from the apartment. She tells Ethan that Mia is sleeping and will not wake up. She adds that a strange man covered her mother with a white sheet. As Ethan listens in horror, officers arrive at the flat. They zip Mia into a bag and carry her away while the neighbor restrains a screaming Lily.
Ethan Crane sits in his high-rise office and sees Mia's contact name on his ringing phone. He answers the device with annoyance. He immediately asks Mia if she is calling because she needs more money.
A young girl speaks into the receiver instead of Mia. Lily explains that her mother is asleep and will not answer her. She tells Ethan that her mother ordered her to dial this number so he could come get her.
Ethan demands that Lily put Mia on the line. Lily replies that a man covered her mother with a white blanket and Mia never told him to stop. Ethan freezes in complete horror as he hears her innocent explanation.
Law enforcement personnel enter the room to remove Mia's body. An officer tells Lily they have to take her mother. Lily screams and lunges forward, but the elderly neighbor restrains her while workers zip Mia into a bag and leave.
“What is it this time? You need more money?”
“Mommy said if she doesn't wake up, I should call this number and say you need to come get me.”
“She's not talking. The uncle put a blanket on her, a white one, and Mommy didn't say stop.”
“Don't touch my Mommy! Mommy! Mommy, wake up!”
Officers seal Mia's body inside a black bag and lift her off the bed. The elderly neighbor holds Lily back while the little girl cries out for her mother. The door closes behind the officers, leaving Lily distraught. Will Ethan figure out where Lily is and reach her before she is left completely alone?
