Mrs. Smith arrives at the apartment to take Lily into foster care. Lily refuses to leave and grabs Mia’s phone to make a video call. She connects with her father, Ethan Crane, at his office. As Lily cries for help, the neighbor tells Ethan that Mia has passed away . Upon learning of Mia's death and seeing his daughter in distress, Ethan leaves his office in a rush to reach them .
Mrs. Smith arrives at the apartment to escort Lily to a welfare facility. Lily resists the social worker and refuses to cooperate with her instructions. Instead, the young girl runs to her mother ’s bed and grabs Mia’s mobile phone to reach out for help.
Ethan answers a video call from Mia’s phone, expecting to speak to her. He sees Lily crying and begging for rescue. When the neighbor explains that Mia is dead, Ethan is shocked. He grabs his keys and rushes out of his office immediately.
“Daddy ! Daddy, come save me! They're taking me! They took Mommy too!”
“Just put Mia on the phone.”
“She's gone.”
“Please come! Please! Mommy said you would come!”
Ethan hears Lily’s desperate pleas and the confirmation of Mia’s death. He leaves his corporate office in a state of urgency, grabbing his car keys to race toward the apartment. As he exits the building, the uncertainty remains regarding whether he will arrive in time to stop the social worker from taking Lily away into the foster care system.
