EP 1: The Mafia Movie Audition
Hounded by Brooklyn loan sharks over her father's debt, Mia Rossi enters Vance Tower with a forged résumé. She interviews for a two-hundred-thousand-dollar Italian translator position with Julian Vance, a terrifying underworld kingpin. When Julian tests her fluency with an Italian contract, Mia bluffs by reciting famous lines from mafia movies. Julian's legal counsel Enzo questions if she wandered off a film set. Julian applauds her creative translation and hires her on the spot. Once Mia leaves, Julian pulls an antique coin from his drawer, whispering that he finally found her.
EP 2: Spilled Coffee and Scalded Hands
Mia heads to the penthouse to deliver black coffee to Julian. When she spots a handgun sitting on his desk, she flinches and drops the mug. The hot coffee completely destroys a sole original federal contract worth twenty million dollars in commission. Julian's associates Marcus and Enzo panic, while a terrified Mia offers to dock her pay. Julian ignores the financial loss after spotting Mia's red, scalded skin. He guides her over to the office sink to cool the burn under water. He then orders her to attend that afternoon's Italian negotiation.
