Rebecca walks through the office hallway as her staff greets her. In her office, Executive Vice President Ryan asks her out for a birthday dinner. She reminds him she is married to the Chairman and orders him to leave after he insults her husband. Ryan storms off, thinking the sick Chairman will die soon. Rebecca then gets a text from her husband saying he is downstairs. Adrian steps out of a car and enters the building.
President Rebecca walks through the office corridor as employees greet her respectfully. She acknowledges her staff while heading straight toward her private office. The staff members bow their heads and address their company president as she passes by them.
Ryan enters the room and invites Rebecca out to celebrate her birthday. Rebecca rejects his invitation immediately, stating her marriage to the Chairman. Ryan calls her husband an old man, so Rebecca threatens to fire him and orders him out.
Ryan storms through the company hallway after being kicked out. He grumbles to himself about Rebecca's husband. In his mind, the Chairman is just an ailing man with a heart transplant who will not survive much longer in this world.
Back in her office, Rebecca hears her phone alert. She looks down and reads a sweet message from Honey. He tells her he has returned and is waiting downstairs. An excited Rebecca immediately leaves her desk and rushes toward the door.
A car pulls up outside the corporate headquarters. Adrian steps out onto the pavement after years away for medical care. Ready to help Rebecca carry the weight of running the business, he strides directly through the entrance revolving doors.
“Rebecca, happy birthday. I've booked a Michelin-starred restaurant. Let's have dinner together tonight.”
“I'm married. My husband is the Group Chairman. Please show some respect.”
“What's so good about that old man? Only I deserve you.”
“Ryan, you've crossed the line. With what you just said, I could fire you. Get out.”
Adrian steps through the revolving doors into the Cross Group lobby, eager to reunite with his wife and share her corporate burdens. Rebecca is currently rushing downstairs to find him. Will Adrian run into his wife first, or will he cross paths with an angry Ryan who is wandering the halls?
