At an outdoor cafe, Cynthia talks with Richard about their small incomes and simple lives. She encourages him to accept her marriage proposal before leaving. At the royal castle, Lolo and Coco refuse to drink milk or go to bed without Cynthia. Richard agrees to find her under one condition: they must hide his prince title. Finally, Richard visits Cynthia's doorstep and asks for her hand in marriage.
Cynthia and Richard talk about their low income and basic living situations. Cynthia insists they make a great couple, telling him to consider marriage before she departs. Watching her walk off, Richard wonders if he has met her somewhere in the past.
Inside the castle bedroom, Lolo and Coco boycott bedtime and their milk until Richard promises to bring Cynthia home. Richard yields to their demands. He makes them promise to keep his wealth and royal identity completely secret from her.
Richard walks up to Cynthia's cottage late at night and knocks. When Cynthia opens the door holding a washbasin, Richard states his name and asks her to marry him. The unexpected question causes her to drop the basin onto the ground.
“Think it over. And marry me.”
“Why do I feel like... I've seen her somewhere before?”
“We won't sleep until Daddy brings Mommy home!”
