Episode: 1
Lily vents about a mistreated heroine in a comic book before heading to sleep. During the night, a glowing blue portal opens in her closet and pulls her into the story. She lands injured on a mountain road and discovers she can hear objects talk. A roadside sign and the asphalt converse with her. When Arthur Hayes's car speeds toward her, the road ripples to slow it down.
Lily sits in her bedroom reading a comic book and complains about how badly the female lead gets treated. She turns in for the night. In the darkness, a blue portal appears inside her closet and draws her in.
Lily explains her situation during a comic transition. She states that she entered the comic as an abandoned billionaire daughter. She is destined to be taken in by the Hayes family, meet three brothers, and listen to talking objects.
Lily crashes onto an empty mountain road in the dark with broken legs. A yellow curved-arrow sign and the asphalt speak directly to her. The sign informs her that she has gained the power to comprehend all inanimate things.
Arthur Hayes sits in the back seat of his luxury vehicle, negotiating a multi-billion dollar deal. As the car rushes toward Lily, the yellow sign sings out. The asphalt road undulates into physical waves to slow the vehicle.
The luxury car shudders and bounces violently across the rippling asphalt surface. Arthur Hayes's driver panics behind the steering wheel. Looking ahead through the windshield, the driver screams that a person is lying directly in the middle of the lane.
“Are you kidding me? Who gets hit by a car and gets both legs broken the second they transverse right?”
“Negative, human. You've simply been granted the ability to understand all things.”
“Tell them 1.8 billion is my absolute bottom line. If they don't take it, we walk away.”
“Someone's in the road!”
The rippling mountain road forms physical waves to force the speeding luxury car to slow down. Arthur Hayes's vehicle bounces violently over the pavement as his chauffeur spots Lily lying helpless ahead. Will the car stop before hitting her, and what will Arthur Hayes do when he finds her on the road?
