Lily confronts Alex for choosing Victoria over his biological sister, prompting Alex to attack Lily's character. Enraged by the insult, a sentient mug shouts and explodes while Lily ducks. The living room carpet comes alive, rippling underfoot and forcing both Alex and Victoria to collapse onto their knees before Lily.

Episode 9 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Lily Cuts Off Her Father

    Mr. Von yells at Lily for hitting him and threatens to disown her completely. Lily laughs in his face. She calls him a defective spare parent and says she and the family are finished forever.

  2. 00:43: Alex Defends Victoria Against Lily

    Lily calls out Alex for siding with Victoria instead of his own sister. Alex snaps back at her immediately. He defends Victoria, accuses Lily of bullying her stepsister, and tells Lily she has no shame.

  3. 01:09: The Enraged Mug Explodes

    A mug on the coffee table overhears Alex's insults and loses its temper. It shouts angrily at Alex and suddenly blows itself into pieces. Lily drops down behind the sofa to protect herself from the blast.

  4. 01:33: The Carpet Takes Its Revenge

    A face forms on the living room rug as it speaks up in Lily's defense. The carpet ripples forcefully beneath their feet. The sudden wave knocks Alex and Victoria down so both fall directly onto their knees.

How Episode 9 Ends

Alex and Victoria end up knocked flat on their knees on the living room rug. Mr. Von stares at them in bewilderment, demanding to know why they are bowing down in front of Lily. Will the stunned Vaughn family realize the house objects are attacking them, or will the appliances strike again?
