Episode 9 recap: Truth by the Fire
Inside the speeding freight car beneath a blood-red moon, the white-haired girl shivers while her chest core glows blue. Karen drapes his jacket over her and lights a bucket of fuel. She recalls her father describing the lower levels as peaceful, but Karen reveals the glow came from incinerators burning sick workers, costing him his arm a decade ago. Horrified, she touches his mechanical hand and vows to use her core to burn the corrupt world to ash.
