Summer sends Evan a breakup text from her bed, calling herself fat and ugly. Evan gets angry and refuses to let her go. He insists she is adorable and demands to know who made her feel this way. Summer remembers her freshman year of high school. Classmates shunned her for her size, so she turned to video games. An online friend named Owen asked to meet, setting up a cruel trap.
Summer messages Evan from her bedroom to end their relationship because she feels ugly and fat. Evan rejects her breakup message immediately. He tells Summer she is cuter than a teddy bear and demands the name of the person insulting her.
Summer remembers freshman year when classmates in the hallway and classroom shunned her because of her body. Lonely at home, she turned to online gaming for comfort. She met Owen in a game, and he offered to meet her in person.
Summer dresses up nicely and waits hours on the empty running track for Owen. Instead, Cindy arrives with Owen and a group of friends. They laugh in Summer's face and admit Owen's friendly messages were just a nasty trick.
“You're cuter than a teddy bear OK? Don't say you're fat and ugly. And don't talk about breaking up with me Boohoo.”
“Summer how did you fall for my trick again? Did all your brain cells turn into fat or something?”
“I had to act for so long to make this fat pig believe me. It made me sick. You owe me big time.”
Summer stands in tears on the running track while Cindy, Owen, and their friends point and laugh at her. The painful prank leaves Summer stranded in the past. Will Summer find the courage to answer Evan's messages, or will the memory of Cindy and Owen's cruelty cause her to push Evan away for good?
