Arthur steps out of a swirling cyclone of fire inside the armory and swaps his mage outfit for page clothes. He sits down and polishes a sword. Prince Agravain arrives with royal guards, seizes Arthur's chin, and yells insults at him. Arthur hands him the weapon, saying Merlin helped him find it. Agravain calls the sword tainted, mentions tournament rumors, and violently strikes Arthur down before raising the blade.
Arthur appears from a fiery cyclone in the armory corridor dressed as a mage. He quickly shifts back into his servant garments. Arthur sits by the weapon benches and begins polishing a fine blade.
Crown Prince Agravain enters with armed guards. He grips Arthur by the jaw, hurls curses, and threatens gelding over talking to palace girls. Arthur eases the tension by presenting the blade and claiming he got it with Merlin for the tournament.
Agravain inspects the sword and sneers that Arthur's touch dirties the steel. He asks about rumors regarding Arthur competing in the Mage Alliance Tournament. Agravain hits Arthur to the floor and lifts the sword overhead to strike.
“You filthy, worthless piece of trash- where the hell have you been hiding these days?”
“I heard the Alliance Tournament is coming up, so I went out of the city with the mage Merlin to find you a worthy blade.”
“A fine sword, no doubt. But passing through the hands of a filthy lowborn servant like you, it's tainted. I hear you want to enter the Mage Alliance Tournament?”
Agravain stands over Arthur on the armory floor with the drawn sword held high, ready to cut him down after hearing about the tournament. Arthur lies helpless beneath the steel. Will Arthur unleash his hidden magic to defend himself, or will he find another way to survive Agravain's wrath?
