Years later at Clearwind Sect, Dustin meditates above the clouds. Master Jade sends him down the mountain to settle his past and complete his cultivation. Down in the city, Dustin leaps into traffic to pull Linda Collins from an oncoming minibus.
Logan Curran and Mary Blake strand young Dustin on a rainy street. Mary informs the child that a country boy cannot have the Collins heiress. She announces that their adopted son Nate Curran will marry the heiress in his place.
Dustin Curran meditates high above the clouds at Clearwind Sect while reliving the memory of his abandonment. Master Jade approaches him. The master commands Dustin to leave the peak and travel downward to resolve his lingering obsession and finish his cultivation.
Linda Collins wheels herself across a busy street as a minibus speeds toward her. Dustin Curran charges into the road. He sweeps Linda into his arms right as the vehicle smashes into her wheelchair and knocks it away.
“Dustin, for a country boy like you, you simply don't deserve the Collins heiress. Your brother will be marrying her instead.”
“Dustin, your obsession runs deep. You need to solve it to break through the final stage. Go down the mountain. Your opportunity has arrived.”
