Episode: 10
Sophia brings a white dog to Aria's birthday party and announces she named it Aria. Luke pressures Aria to accept the gift, but Aria hands the leash to James. Aria remembers getting bitten by a rabid dog years ago while helping Luke regain his sight. After Aria blows out her birthday candles, Sophia suggests the puppy share the cake. Aria tells everyone to sing to the dog and walks out on the party.
Sophia enters the banquet hall on Luke's arm during Aria's birthday party. She brings forward a small white dog as a surprise present. Before the guests, Sophia announces that she gave the dog the name Aria.
Sophia pretends to be upset and offers to leave the party. Luke stops her and tells Aria to accept the puppy because Sophia meant well. Aria refuses to hold the dog and asks James to take the leash instead.
Luke walks through the hall beside Sophia. Aria recalls being bitten by a rabid dog during a storm while working to cure Luke's blindness years earlier. She sees that Luke is allowing Sophia to openly mock her.
Luke calls Aria over to the birthday cake, and she blows out the candles. Sophia suggests that the puppy should share the cake and the wish. Aria tells the crowd to sing to the dog and leaves.
“I named it Aria too, isn't it just as cute as you?”
“Sophia meant well. Aria, you've always loved animals. Just take it.”
“Then let the dog make a wish and blow out the candles. Everyone can sing happy birthday to it. I'll leave you to it.”
“Aria, this party is for you, are you really going to leave now?”
Aria turns her back on the cake and heads for the exit. Luke calls after her in disbelief, questioning if she is really going to abandon her own celebration. Will Aria continue walking out of the party, or will Luke follow her and try to pull her back inside?
