Adrian puts the wedding ring on Natalie's finger until Chloe announces she lost a contact lens. Adrian drops Natalie's hand to crawl on the floor. While the priest begins the vows, Natalie whispers that she will not marry him and calls someone to take her away. Adrian scolds Natalie and defends Chloe. Natalie remembers past times Adrian abandoned her. When Chloe rejects the found lens, a tattooed man enters the church.
Adrian slips the ring onto Natalie's finger, but Chloe announces that she dropped her contact lens. Adrian lets go of Natalie to search the floor. As the priest begins reciting the vows, Natalie whispers a refusal and phones an outside contact.
Mrs. Brooks urges Adrian to complete the vows first. Adrian ignores her request completely. He tells Natalie that Chloe's safety matters much more than any ceremony, insisting that waiting a little bit will not harm anyone in the chapel.
Natalie looks back on introducing Chloe to Adrian years ago. Memories surface of Adrian abandoning Natalie during private dinners, street walks, and their personal anniversary celebration every single time Chloe called him claiming that she needed immediate assistance.
Mrs. Brooks attempts to settle the disruption, prompting Chloe to weep before the crowd. Adrian reacts with fury. He yells at Natalie directly, calling her selfish in front of their wedding guests for focusing on the ceremony while Chloe cannot see.
Natalie's cousin discovers the missing contact lens on the ground and hands it over. Chloe complains through tears that it is too filthy to wear. Suddenly, a well-dressed man with tattoos enters the sanctuary and strides directly down the aisle.
“Adrian, my contact lens fell out.”
“I don't.”
“Your best friend can't see, and all you care about is your wedding. Do you have to be this selfish?”
“It's dirty. I can't wear it.”
Chloe refuses to put the recovered contact lens back into her eye because it is dirty. As the argument stalls the wedding, a sharply dressed man covered in tattoos marches down the aisle toward the altar. Who is this mysterious newcomer, and did Natalie truly summon him to stop the wedding?
