She rushes forward and removes a bloody golden needle from his scales. Sea King Talen arrives, draws an ice blade at her neck, and Seraya insists on treating the baby.

  1. 00:00: Awakening Under the Sea

    Seraya wakes up in an underwater palace trial chamber. She looks down and discovers she has a mermaid tail. She remembers her hospital resuscitation and realizes she survived death by transmigrating into an undersea kingdom as a commoner mermaid.

  2. 00:10: The Caretaker Selection Trial

    Head maid Nyla addresses the assembled candidates in the chamber. She explains the selection rules for caring for crying infant prince Morris. Nyla notices Seraya standing in the group and publicly berates her for lacking magical ear-fins.

  3. 01:00: Forced Feeding of Prince Morris

    A candidate attempts to bottle-feed Prince Morris in the chamber. The baby prince struggles and violently pushes the bottle away. Instead of investigating his distress, Nyla commands the nearby palace attendants to hold the child down and force-feed him.

  4. 01:12: The Cub Translation System Activates

    Seraya hears the crying baby speaking directly into her mind. Her Young Cub's Inner Voice translation system turns on. Morris cries that a sharp needle hurts his back, revealing why he refuses to take the milk bottle.

  5. 01:35: Removing the Golden Seahorse Needle

    Seraya rushes through the trial chamber. She shoves past the surrounding maids and royal guards to reach Prince Morris. She reaches into his back scales, pulls out a bloody golden seahorse needle, and holds the crying baby to comfort him.

    Sea King Talen descends into the chamber. Nyla makes direct accusations against Seraya for touching the royal infant. Talen draws an ice blade and presses it against Seraya's throat, but Seraya tells him to let her treat Morris's injury first.
