Shay commands Amaan Sharma to leave Room 500 immediately. Amaan steps into the hallway and walks off. Inside the room, Shay finds Amaan's ruined modeling portfolio tossed inside a trash can. As Amaan heads outside, he remembers the cruel mockery from Claire Carter, Ethan Hale, and Miranda Mercer during his audition. Out on the street, Amaan turns toward the agency, glares at the building, and vows that Miranda will watch him rise.
Shay wears a black dress with white gloves and confronts Amaan outside Room 500. She commands him to leave the premises immediately. Amaan turns around without a word and walks away down the empty corridor.
Shay steps back into Room 500 and checks the trash can. She pulls out Amaan's damaged portfolio book. She inspects the ruined pages and speaks in shock, realizing what happened to his modeling work.
Amaan walks away while reliving his humiliating open call at Mercer Models. He remembers Claire Carter mocking him, Ethan Hale sneering at him, and Miranda Mercer shouting that his walk is terrible and fashion is not for him.
Amaan emerges onto the city sidewalk outside the agency. He pauses and tilts his head upward toward the high-rise windows. Angrily, he calls out Miranda's name, promises she will watch him succeed, and strides down the street.
“Leave now!”
“Oh no!”
“Your poses are intolerable. Your walk is shit. I don't know why I'm still looking at you! Fashion is clearly not for you!”
“Watch me, Miranda, watch me!”
Amaan stops on the New York pavement and glares up at the Mercer Models offices. He demands that Miranda watch him prove her wrong, then walks off into the city crowd. Will Amaan find a way to break into the fashion industry on his own, or will Miranda's rejection keep him locked out?
