Episode: 6
In the garage, Lina claims Kyle faked the sniper shot to deceive her. She labels him a con artist before swapping cars for Mr. Wes's event. Kyle trails her into the party anyway. When she dismisses him for his informal outfit, he stays nearby. Rien Volkov then accosts Lina about her S Drug data and pushes for marriage. Lina rejects him, leading to a physical clash until Kyle intervenes.
Lina steps out of the shot-up vehicle and insists Kyle faked the attack. She announces they are taking another car to Mr. Wes's banquet. Kyle listens quietly and remembers Wes pledging loyalty to him six months prior in H City.
Lina enters the event wearing a black gown. Kyle walks right behind her, stating he must provide continuous close protection. Lina dislikes his casual clothes and orders him to wander off somewhere away from the other guests.
Rien confronts Lina, insisting she hand over her S Drug work and marry him. When Lina turns him down, Rien smashes his glass on the floor and grabs at her. Lina trips, but Kyle catches her and challenges Rien directly.
“So you staged an assassination attempt to fool me? Is that your little trick?”
“Hand over the S Drug research and marry me. I guarantee all those problems go away.”
“If you won't do this the easy way, we'll do it the hard way.”
“Who do you think you are, laying a hand on my woman?”
Kyle catches Lina just as she falls backwards from Rien's sudden lunge. He holds her securely and stares Rien down, demanding to know who gave him permission to touch his woman. Can Kyle handle this arrogant executive in front of the high-society crowd without blowing his cover or causing an even bigger scene?
