Arthur commands his enforcers to kill Martha on sight. Olivia remembers how Arthur and Lillian gained rank through Chloe's engagement. She announces that Martha answers only to her. When Arthur repeats the execution command, Olivia's fighters target Arthur and Don Edward with their weapons. Don Edward excuses the boy and releases Martha. Martha collapses before Olivia, weeping that Chloe is dying at Robert's place.

Episode 2 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Arthur Orders Martha's Death

    Arthur calls Martha a crazy woman and tells his men to kill her. Meanwhile, Olivia thinks back on Arthur and his mother Lillian. She recalls how the two gained authority through Chloe's arranged marriage.

  2. 00:37: Claiming the Woods Servant

    Olivia halts the execution by stating Martha belongs to the Woods family. She considers her own military power. She holds command over two-thirds of the Syndicate's armed forces and refuses to let anyone touch her servant.

  3. 01:26: Standoff in the Courtyard

    Arthur claims he makes the calls as Underboss and repeats his execution order. Olivia directly defies him. Behind her, dozens of armed soldiers draw their weapons and point them straight at Arthur and Don Edward.

  4. 01:46: Don Edward Backs Down

    Don Edward steps forward to calm the situation. He calls Arthur young and ignorant, then tells everyone to put away their weapons. He yields to Olivia and directs his men to bring Martha over to her.

  5. 02:15: A Desperate Plea for Chloe

    Martha crawls across the stone ground directly to Olivia's feet. Crying uncontrollably, Martha reports that Chloe is dying right now. She begs Olivia to rush over to Robert's place to rescue her daughter before it is too late.

Martha breaks down in tears at Olivia's feet. She gives Olivia the horrifying news that Chloe is currently dying at Robert's place and begs for help.
