In the palace great hall, Rael, Caron, and Kian voice anger over being treated like pets. Kian offers to take Isabella as his mate if she treats the others as equals, but she refuses. Laila dumps hot tea on herself and cries about banishment. The Alphas accuse Isabella of attacking her. Isabella remembers a similar framing trick from five years ago. Kian demands an apology, but Isabella walks away.
Rael, Caron, and Kian tell Isabella she treats them like pets. Kian proposes to swallow his pride and become her Alpha on the condition that she treats the other candidates as equals. Isabella immediately turns down his offer.
Laila brings tea to Isabella and purposely dumps it across herself. She cries and begs Isabella not to banish her. Caron and the other Alphas surround Isabella and accuse her of shoving Laila on purpose.
Five years earlier in a tent, Laila carried Kian's custom dagger and deliberately cut her own finger. She blamed Isabella for the wound. Kian believed Laila's story and forced Isabella to give Laila an apology.
Isabella points out that Laila has repeated this routine for five years. Kian demands that Isabella apologize to Laila immediately or he will ignore her forever. Isabella tells him she never wants to see him and walks away.
“If you start treating the other six as equals, I'll swallow my pride and become your Alpha.”
“Don't bother. None of you will ever have to force yourselves again.”
“Laila brought you tea out of kindness, and you shoved her on purpose? Were you looking for an excuse to get rid of her?”
“Isabella, this is your last chance. Apologize to Laila now. If you walk away, you can get on your knees and beg later, and I still won't look at you.”
Isabella tells Kian that she does not want to see him either. She turns her back on the candidate Alphas and walks down the palace corridor alone. Will Kian and the other candidate Alphas realize they fell for Laila's scheme, or will they continue to punish Isabella for refusing to apologize?
