Late at night, Kate waits until Chris falls soundly asleep beside her. She picks up her phone and messages Hannah to ask if Chris has been taking Vivian home. The following day, Kate opens surveillance pictures from a parking garage sent by Hannah. Hannah explains over voice messages that Chris drove Vivian home during a fever. She also reports that Vivian now speaks for Chris in company meetings.
In the middle of the night, Kate listens to Chris's steady breathing as he sleeps. She quietly grabs her phone. Kate types a message to Hannah, asking if Chris has frequently driven Vivian home after work recently.
The next day, Kate examines garage photos sent by Hannah and plays her voice notes. Hannah reports that Chris personally drove Vivian home when she was sick. Hannah also notes that Vivian oversteps her role by answering for Chris during meetings.
“Everyone at the office says Chris is pretty strict with Vivian, but outside of work he really looks out for her.”
“A couple days ago she had a fever, and he was the one who took her home himself.”
“She's supposed to be just the assistant, but sometimes she'll speak for Chris before he even has a chance.”
Darkness falls over the large office as Kate stays seated at her desk with a heavy expression. She absorbs the updates about Vivian taking over Chris's authority in official discussions. With Chris crossing lines at work and at home, what will Kate ask Hannah to investigate next?
