Rohan slaps Chloe during the party. Chloe's wolf eyes glow and her claws come out, but she pulls herself back. She pulls off her wedding ring and places it on the counter. She tells Rohan that he will regret standing on stolen territory, then walks out. At her high-rise office, Mr. Miller brings laptop records confirming Chloe owns the penthouse, territory, and necklace. Chloe tells him to delay filing.
After Rohan strikes her face, Chloe's eyes shine and her claws extend. She controls her wolf side and holds back. Chloe pulls off her wedding band, sets it down on the counter, and tells Rohan he is standing on stolen ground.
At her office, Mr. Miller displays laptop files verifying the penthouse, territory, and Moonborn Emerald necklace belong solely to Chloe. The logs confirm Rohan stole the emerald using mate access. Chloe orders Mr. Miller to pause the legal filing for tonight.
“How long are you going to keep making a scene over one stupid necklace?”
“That slap just made a decision for me.”
“The penthouse, the territory, and the Moonborn Emerald are all registered to you. The safe log also proves Rohan used his mate access to take the necklace.”
“Don't file anything yet. Tonight they invited the whole city to witness their triumph. Let everyone stay for the ending.”
