Mara dies without treatment funds, and Elara cancels their marriage registration.

    Elara stands at the hospital reception counter trying to cover her mother's care. Carrie checks the system and tells Elara that all of her credit cards are frozen, leaving her unable to pay any money.

    Elara remembers the previous night, right before her wedding, when her mother collapses from a brain hemorrhage. At the hospital, the doctor tells Elara he needs an urgent one hundred thousand dollar payment for emergency medical supplies.

  3. 00:28: Unanswered Voicemail to Cassian

    Elara dials Cassian repeatedly in the hallway, but he never answers his phone. In desperation, she leaves him a crying voicemail where she begs him to unfreeze her money so she can save her dying mother.

  4. 00:48: Voicemail on the Livestream

    In the waiting room, Elara opens a livestream hosted by Sienna Marlowe. Sienna plays Elara's sobbing voicemail aloud to her viewers, using the private recording as a broadcast example of emotional manipulation in relationships.

  5. 01:16: Cassian's Public Insult

    As Sienna continues talking to her audience, Cassian sends an expensive virtual yacht gift into the stream. He posts a public comment under the video, calling women like Elara emotional vampires who drain people.

  6. 01:34: Devastation in the Morgue

    The doctor steps out of the operating room and tells Elara that her mother passed away. Elara walks into the morgue and collapses in tears over her mother's body on the metal table.

    Elara stands alone in the hallway holding an urn of her mother's ashes. Her phone buzzes with a message from Cassian stating her punishment is finished, so Elara immediately taps her screen to cancel their marriage registration.
