Elara arrives at the Voss estate in a black car to collect her deceased mother's belongings. Inside, she finds Cassian, his mother, and Sienna gathered in the living room. Sienna wears a blue scarf meant for Mara. Cassian slides over a contract, offering Mara's items only if Elara gives up all her projects and mediation cases for zero dollars. Cassian and his mother pressure her, but Elara refuses to sign.
Elara pulls up to the Voss estate in a black car. She steps out and walks toward the house alone. Her goal is to retrieve the personal belongings of her deceased mother, Mara Vale.
Elara enters the living room and finds Cassian, his mother, and Sienna together. Cassian's mother compliments Sienna as a suitable match for Cassian. Elara confronts Sienna for wearing the blue scarf meant for her mother while Mara was dying.
Cassian pushes an authorization agreement across the coffee table. He demands Elara sign away all her software projects and her mother's mediation cases for zero dollars before he hands over Mara's possessions. Elara reads the terms and rejects them outright.
Cassian and his mother argue that company resources created the work and claim marriage erases separate property. They pressure Elara to sign the agreement immediately, but Elara maintains her position and refuses to give away her work.
“Sign this authorization and I'll give you what you came for.”
“This is exploitation. I'm not signing it.”
“Besides, you're about to marry into this family. Why make such a big deal about who owns what?”
“Because everything you're trying to take from me belonged to me in the first place.”
Elara locks eyes with Cassian and his mother in the living room. She flatly refuses to sign away her software projects and her mother's mediation files.
