Episode: 1
The episode opens with flashes of Nina kissing Kyle and Ella kissing Owen Blackwood before rewinding to the bar. During a truth or dare game, Nina dares to kiss any guy for three minutes and asks for Kyle. The crowd freezes, so Nina turns to a drunk guy who grabs her wrist. Kyle drops Ella's hand to rescue Nina. When Ella begs Kyle to take her home, he refuses to leave.
Quick flash-forward clips show Nina kissing Kyle, followed by Ella accepting an overnight invitation from Owen Blackwood and kissing him back. The story then cuts back to the bar where the trouble begins.
The group gathers for truth or dare at a booth. Nina draws a card requiring her to kiss any guy for three minutes. She speaks up in front of everyone and asks Ella to borrow Kyle.
The booth falls completely silent after Nina's question. Nina walks toward other patrons instead. A drunk guy in a plaid shirt grabs her wrist and forcefully pulls her toward him, demanding a kiss.
Kyle is holding Ella's hand when the commotion starts. He drops Ella's fingers instantly, rushes to the bar, and pushes the drunk guy away. Nina grips Kyle's hand tightly as she asks for his protection.
Ella holds back her emotions and stands up before Kyle. She tells him she has a headache and pleads with him to take her home. Kyle stares back at her and firmly says he cannot leave.
“Ella, can I borrow Kyle for three minutes?”
“Picking on a girl, you think that's funny?”
“If you just leave with me now. I've got a headache. Can you take me home?”
“You know I can't. I can't leave.”
Ella stands in front of the booth with tears in her eyes, asking Kyle to walk out with her. Kyle stays behind to protect Nina instead. He looks at Ella coldly and tells her he cannot leave. Will Ella stay and watch Nina kiss Kyle, or will she walk away from him?
