Dante agrees to Lily Carter's deal and promises not to force her. That night, they share a bed, and Dante holds a trembling Lily. In the morning, Dante cuts his finger to drip blood onto the bedsheet. He pulls Lily onto his lap and informs the maid that Lily is to become the next Mrs. Corleone. Lorenzo hears the news, crushes a glass in anger, and texts Lily that he will arrive tomorrow.
Lily asks Dante not to touch her too soon as part of their deal. Dante agrees to her condition and promises he will not force her into anything. The two settle on their secret arrangement inside his bedroom.
Lily lies in bed next to Dante and begins to tremble with nerves. Dante pulls her close into his chest to calm her down, telling her she needs to get used to pretending to share his bed.
Lily wakes up and finds her clothes fully on. Dante uses a small knife to slice his own finger, letting drops of blood fall onto the sheets. He then rings the service bell, ordering women's clothes from the staff.
A maid enters the bedroom with clothes. Dante pulls Lily onto his lap to act affectionate. He tells the maid that Lily will be the next Mrs. Corleone before sharply ordering the maid out of the room.
Lorenzo gets a phone call about the wedding and crushes a wine glass in his bare hand. Blood drips down his fingers. He texts Lily that he will visit tomorrow, then stares at a framed piano photo.
Lily sits on Dante's lap as Lorenzo's text arrives on her phone. Dante lifts Lily's chin with his hand. He instructs her to look Lorenzo in the eyes tomorrow and say she stayed by choice because she loves Dante.
“Keep me safe, and my life is yours. But one condition... Please, sir. Don't touch me so soon.”
“This woman will be the next Mrs. Corleone. I'm marrying her.”
“Marriage? So he really changed his ways and caught real feelings for that innocent student...”
“Tomorrow, I want you to look at his eyes and tell him, you chose to stay, and you love me.”
Dante lifts Lily's chin and commands her to tell Lorenzo tomorrow that she stayed willingly and loves him. Lorenzo is already preparing to arrive after violently crushing his wine glass in anger. Will Lily be able to look Lorenzo directly in the eyes and sell the lie without breaking under his pressure?
