Hannah rests on a cot under netting in an African shelter as heavy rain falls. Samuel and Michael arrive in military uniforms to say she can return home now. Hannah dies on the cot with bitterness in her heart. Suddenly, she wakes up alive inside her bedroom at the military base. She spots a wall calendar marked December 24th. Hannah realizes the past decade never happened and decides not to chase her family's approval.
Hannah lies sick on a cot inside an African shelter during the rainy season. Samuel and Michael stand before her and tell her she can finally return home. Instead of forgiving them, Hannah passes away right in front of them with deep resentment.
Hannah wakes up abruptly in her cozy bedroom on the military base. She discovers a calendar marked December 24th and realizes she is back ten years earlier. The old tragedies have not taken place, so she resolves to protect her second life.
