Episode: 3
Ellie enters Claire's bedroom and demands to take Claire's suitcase. Claire refuses, so Ellie slams the door and runs away. Claire counts down seconds right before Mom, Dad, and Noah rush over to scold her. Her parents demand she share, while Ellie fakes tears. Noah then steps in and hands Ellie the sky-blue suitcase Claire gave him for his birthday. Claire tells Noah she does not care what he does with it.
Ellie walks into Claire's room and grabs Claire's suitcase without asking nicely. She announces that she hates the color of her own bag. Claire stands her ground and refuses to lend it. Ellie storms out and slams the bedroom door.
Claire counts down as Mom, Dad, and Noah march to her doorway. Mom and Dad scold Claire for being petty and refusing to share. Meanwhile, Ellie buries her face into her parents' arms and pretends to cry.
In the hallway, Noah brings out the sky-blue suitcase Claire carefully chose for his birthday and gives it to Ellie. Ellie pretends to care about Claire's reaction. Claire answers coldly and says she does not care what happens to it.
“I don't like the color of my suitcase. I'm borrowing yours.”
“She just wants to borrow it once. Do you have to be so petty?”
“Use mine.”
“I gave it to you as a gift. Who you let use it is none of my business.”
Claire watches Noah give away the birthday present she picked out for him, but she remains completely detached. She tells him directly that his choice is none of her business and turns away from their guilt trip. Will the family continue trying to get a reaction out of Claire, or will their focus shift to their upcoming plans?
