Sarah sits by herself at the Rossini Christmas Eve feast while relatives whisper and stare. Emma posts a photo in the family group saying Marcus is with her, so Sarah quits the chat. Outside on the balcony, Sarah phones an unsaved contact to accept his marriage proposal, provided he helps her divorce Marcus. Marcus returns home at three in the morning wearing a pink scarf. When Emma calls him, Sarah silently walks off to bed.
Sarah sits alone at the Rossini family Christmas Eve feast. Other family members stare at her and whisper behind her back. Emma sends a photo and message to the family group saying Marcus is currently with her. Sarah immediately exits the chat.
Sarah walks out onto the balcony away from the party. She dials an unsaved telephone number on her screen. When the man answers, Sarah accepts an earlier marriage offer from him, on the condition that he helps her divorce Marcus first.
Marcus enters their apartment at 3:00 AM with a woman's pink scarf around his neck. Sarah challenges him over breaking his promise to attend dinner. His phone buzzes with a call from Emma. After Marcus talks with Emma for thirty minutes, Sarah turns away.
“You said you wanted to marry me. I'm saying yes. Help me divorce him first.”
“Marcus, it was the family Christmas Eve banquet. It was different. We're supposed to be together on Christmas Eve. Otherwise what makes us a family? And you promised.”
“What were you saying again?”
“Nothing. Get some sleep.”
Marcus finally finishes his half-hour call with Emma and asks Sarah to repeat herself. Sarah refuses to restart their conversation. She tells him to get some rest, shuts down the discussion, and walks off to bed. Can the mystery man Sarah called help her escape this marriage, or will Marcus discover her secret plan before she can leave?
