Episode: 5
Atlas and Morgana laugh at Elena's demand for separation, but Beatrice tries to keep Elena around for her money. Isabel insults Elena until Clara pulls a blade. Morgana blows a whistle to bring out the wounded, chained Crimson Flame Dragon. Elena remembers hatching the beast with her blood for Atlas. When Clara reveals the dragon was tortured, Elena manifests dragon armor, grabs a guard's crossbow, and targets Atlas and Morgana.
In the town square, Atlas and Morgana laugh at Elena when she demands to end the marriage. Elena does not back down. She directly confronts Morgana, calling out the pregnant knight for her petty insults in front of the gathered crowd.
Beatrice urges Elena to stay so House Thorne can keep her wealth. Elena refuses to continue the marriage. Isabel insults Elena, which causes Clara to draw a sword to defend her mistress right in the middle of the town square.
Morgana blows a loud whistle across the plaza. A massive Crimson Flame Dragon lands among the terrified crowd, covered in heavy iron chains and bleeding from open wounds. Panic immediately breaks out across the entire square as people scramble away.
Elena remembers a quiet chamber where she cut her own flesh. She poured her royal blood onto a dormant egg to hatch the guardian dragon. She then gave the newborn creature to Atlas so it would keep him alive at war.
Elena confronts Atlas for handing her guardian beast over to Morgana. Atlas claims the creature belongs to him after three years of war. Clara speaks up and tells Elena that Morgana and Atlas tortured the dragon into obeying their commands.
Elena's eyes turn crimson with fury over the beast's suffering. Her mortal dress shifts into hard dragon armor. She wrenches a loaded crossbow from a Thorne guard, draws the string tight, and aims the bolt directly at Atlas and Morgana.
“Beatrice. Marriage was my choice, not my prison. He broke his vows and betrayed me. I deserve to end this farce, no?”
“I hatched this dragon with my own blood to keep you alive... and you handed it to your mistress?”
“The Crimson Flame Dragon has won me three years of victories. It belongs to me now! And Morgana is no stranger. She fought beside me, so she's the one who deserves a dragon.”
“Give me back my dragon!”
Elena stands transformed in dragon armor with her eyes glowing red. She points a loaded crossbow directly at Atlas and Morgana, demanding the return of her tortured companion. Will Atlas surrender the chained dragon to his furious wife, or will Elena pull the trigger and execute the unfaithful knight in front of the whole town?
