Darren stares at Monica in the control room instead of looking at his wife Layla. In the corridor, Layla watches Monica brush Darren's hand. After work, Monica summons Layla into her private office and turns the lock. She presents an anonymous complaint about Layla and claims a physical showed Layla's right eye dropped to 0.6. When Layla demands the original test, Monica refuses. She forces Layla to choose between a suspension or the ticket booth.
Darren keeps his eyes on Monica rather than looking toward Layla in the dispatch area. Layla walks out into the hallway and spots them together. As Monica passes Darren, she quietly reaches out and touches his hand.
After their shift, Monica calls Layla inside her office and turns the deadbolt. Monica presents paperwork about poor performance and failing vision. Layla demands the original medical document. Monica refuses, giving Layla the choice between suspension or moving to the ticket booth.
“Leila the company's received a formal complaint about your job performance.”
“Also your annual physical shows your right eye vision dropped from 1.0 down to 0.6.”
“I had my physical 3 months ago. My right eye was 1.0 left 1.2 back then. Let me see the original report.”
“The original's locked in HR. You can file an appeal but you'll be suspended pending review, or you sign this and transfer to the ticket booth.”
Layla stands before Monica's desk in shock and anger. Her mind races as she pictures the difficult daily conditions waiting for her down in the ticket booth. Will Layla sign the transfer paper under Monica's pressure, or will she accept suspension to fight the false medical report?
