If you love divine fantasy with serious romantic tension, you need to check out this story. I just finished watching on Stillpointe, and Cynthia immediately became one of my favorite leads. She is a Titan descendant with the divine power of the stars, married to the storm god Vrontis. Her husband spends every waking moment coddling his first love, Nephele. For five years, Cynthia endured nineteen humiliations and expulsions from the main temple just to keep Nephele comfortable.
The turning point hits when Vrontis hands Cynthia a parchment to dissolve their bond. He tells her it is merely a fake gesture to soothe Nephele's nerves. Cynthia signs it without hesitation because she has already made private plans with her father, Hyperion. She intends to sever the marriage completely and reclaim her true place among the stars. Vrontis assumes she will stay docile forever, completely unaware of the truth.
Things get even wilder once the past comes to light. Vrontis believes Nephele rescued him from death five years ago, but Cynthia was the real savior. Her quiet dignity cuts straight through the palace drama, and seeing Vrontis scramble to understand her detachment gives every scene a wonderful punch. EP 1: A Final Farewell
Vrontis asks Cynthia to sign a fake dissolution paper to ease Nephele's delicate mood. Cynthia signs it without fighting. The parchment immediately burns into ash. Her husband is shocked. A flashback to seven days earlier shows Cynthia using a glowing crescent relic. She speaks with her father, Hyperion, and asks to dissolve her bond with Vrontis permanently. Hyperion promises to arrange her departure in seven days. By the pool, Cynthia washes her face and vows that her farewell to Vrontis will be final.
EP 2: Hidden in the Shadows
Vrontis tells Cynthia that Nephele is arriving soon. He demands that Cynthia stay hidden so Nephele avoids stress. Five years ago on the battlefield, Cynthia secretly used her starlight magic to rescue a dying Vrontis. He woke up and wrongly credited Nephele with saving him. Nephele used his mistake to seek his constant protection. She framed Cynthia as an annoyance. Cynthia walks out onto the cold balcony alone. She looks out over the clouds and reflects on feeling like a ghost inside her own home.
EP 3: The Nineteenth Eviction
Frontis moves Cynthia into a rundown side chamber filled with dust and cobwebs. He claims Nephele needs the main chamber to stay healthy. Cynthia touches the table with stardust and calmly accepts the transfer. Her obedience makes Frontis suspicious because she previously fought back. Past memories show Cynthia weeping, breaking furniture, and being dragged out by guards during earlier evictions. Cynthia fixes her husband's cloak brooch in silence. Suddenly, Nephele's handmaid Lyra bursts into the room. Lyra holds a glowing urgent message from her mistress.
EP 4: Ashes of Moonblossoms
Cynthia overhears Vrontis speaking into a glowing seashell. He comforts Nephele and promises to visit her with moonblossoms. A flashback reveals that Vrontis once gifted those same flowers to Cynthia. He let her believe he chose them for her. In truth, moonblossoms were always Nephele's favorite. Vrontis orders Cynthia to stay hidden when Nephele arrives at the temple. Cynthia uses her star magic at her desk and summons the dried moonblossom she preserved for five years. She sets the keepsake on fire and watches it turn to ash.
EP 5: Behind Closed Doors
Cynthia sits alone in her room reading after two days of silence from Vrontis. A maid arrives and summons her to the main hall. Cynthia walks down the hallway and looks through a cracked bedroom door. She sees Vrontis and Nephele embracing in bed. Nephele pretends to care about the sanctity of marriage, claiming she cannot ruin Cynthia's life. Vrontis declares he will do anything to comfort her. Nephele hugs him and looks directly through the crack. She smirks maliciously at Cynthia.
EP 6: The Tear of Astra
Cynthia remembers finding Nephele in her bed wearing her clothes. She also recalls servants mocking her as damaged goods. Instead of crying, Cynthia visits the forge to collect her restored star necklace, the Tear of Astra. Her father explained that sealing her divorce bond will unlock the necklace, restore her divine strength, and return her to the Star Temple. Cynthia holds the sacred relic in her hands. Vrontis suddenly walks down the steps with Nephele, who glares at Cynthia with a mocking sneer.
EP 7: Refusing to Yield
Frontis comforts a tearful Nephele inside the craftsman's workshop. He scolds Cynthia and orders her to keep away from Nephele. Cynthia explains that she only came to retrieve her repaired heirloom. When the craftsman presents the necklace, Frontis snatches it away and shows it to Nephele. Nephele asks if she can keep the jewel. Frontis demands that Cynthia surrender the heirloom as an apology for causing distress. Cynthia refuses to give in and boldly states that nobody will take what belongs to her.
EP 8: The Truth Unveiled
Nephele cries in the temple hall and pretends she never meant to take Cynthia's jewelry. She secretly smirks while clinging to Vrontis. Angered by Cynthia's defiance, Vrontis grabs Cynthia's wrist and slaps her across the face. Cynthia stands stunned by his violence. She brings up the battlefield where he almost died five years ago. Cynthia reveals that she saved his life, not Nephele. The star necklace begins glowing with celestial power in his hands. Vrontis finally realizes the truth and regrets his actions.
