The brunette maid fails to open the stuck door and carries baby Jax away. Seraphina clears the latch, and Elias leaves the closet with a bruised cheek. Elias takes a cold shower while questioning his attraction to her. Later, Seraphina returns to the nursery and discovers dark bruises on Jax's arm. A doctor arrives, and Lady Elara demands the truth. The brunette maid immediately blames Seraphina for abusing the infant.
The brunette maid pulls on the stuck door handle to catch Seraphina. She grumbles about the broken latch. Before leaving, she threatens to report Seraphina to Lady Elara and carries baby Jax away down the hall.
Seraphina pulls a wood splinter out of the latch and steps outside. Elias follows behind her with a visible bruise on his cheek. Seraphina reaches toward him, but Elias refuses her touch and walks away to shower.
Elias stands under freezing water to clear his head. He remembers kissing Seraphina inside the closet. He wonders why other women disgust him to his core, yet being near Seraphina only makes him crave her touch instead.
Seraphina enters the nursery to care for Jax. She checks on him and notices dark purple bruises covering his arm. In a panic, she calls out for help and rushes to find a doctor for the infant.
A physician examines Jax's injured arm in the nursery. Lady Elara arrives furious and demands an explanation. The brunette maid points her finger directly at Seraphina, claiming she lost her patience with Jax and caused the harm.
“Forget it. What I need right now is a cold shower.”
“The mere touch of a woman has always disgusted me to my core. Then why? Why her? When she gets close to me, I don't feel disgusted. I feel something else instead.”
“Who did this?”
“It was her! Seraphina did this! I saw her lose her patience with Jax yesterday. She's been hurting him!”
The doctor tends to Jax while Lady Elara demands to know who hurt the baby. The brunette maid smiles coldly and points straight at Seraphina, accusing her of violent abuse. Will Lady Elara believe the maid's lie and fire Seraphina, or can Seraphina prove her innocence before she loses everything?
